Laura's Favorite Aspect of Real Estate is Connecting With New People & Building a Lifelong Relationship With Them. Nothing is More Satisfying To Her Than Walking Into a House With Her Clients & Watching Them Light up Knowing We’ve Found Their New Home.

Q: Can you share with us what made you decide to have a career in Real Estate?
LP:
Real Estate is constantly changing, especially in this market, and I loved the idea of facing new challenges each day. I also consider myself a people person, so I wanted to work in a profession that allowed me to connect and form genuine relationships with people from all different walks of life.

Q: Do you specialize in certain types of properties?
LP:
I specialize in buying and selling residential resale and new construction from land to final product. However, I previously worked in property management and commercial real estate, so I’ve seen it all!

Q: Can you share with our audience what Buyers & Sellers can expect when they work with you?
LP:
They will have my constant attention 24/7 for any and all questions, needs, showings and contract negotiations. Also, just gaining a life-long connection!

Q: What are two things that separate you from other agents?
LP:
I can’t understate how important I believe it is to be responsive to each client’s questions and needs. Buying or selling a home is a huge, life-changing decision, and it’s important that everyone has an agent that is dedicated to them and always readily accessible.

This may sound odd, but I have a dream of working with a client to go under contract on my wedding day this October (I’m not sure my fiancé would appreciate this though). The other factor that separates me from other agents is my passion for real estate. I can’t wait to get to know each client and learn their home likes/dislikes/wants/needs, and then the fun begins getting to research different properties and showing them to clients as we search for their dream home.

Q: Do you work with both buyers and sellers?
LP:
I work with everyone wanting to buy or sell a home!

Q: What do you think are the ingredients that keep you as a top Realtor year after year?
LP:
The genuine connections that I’ve built. There are a lot of great realtors in every market, so the way I differentiate myself is through the strong relationships that I build and maintain, even after each home closes.

Q: What's the greatest fear you've had to overcome to get where you are today?
LP:
Being commission based – not having a steady salary can be scary at first, but so rewarding after you’ve built a strong book of business for yourself.

Q: Can you tell our audience one of your most memorable moments of your career?
LP:
Every time I get to call one of my buyers to let them know they got the house, the cheers of excitement I hear never get old.

Q: What’s one lesson you’ve learned in your career that you can share with our audience?
LP:
You have to learn how to roll with the punches in real estate! You never what is coming at you next, so being able to stay calm and figure out the best solution on behalf of your clients is so important.

Q: Which woman inspires you and why?
LP:
Glennon Doyle – She challenges women through her book, Untamed, to be who they truly are.

Q: After high school, where did you feel your career path would take you?
LP:
I initially thought I would go the attorney route; however, plans change, and I still get to work with contracts!

Q: Can you tell us how you manage your work life balance?
LP:
I always start the day with exercise/meditation/me time. This helps me take on anything that may come my way with a clear head.
